Barking Beast is a lifestyle blog inspired by the great pet community of San Diego.

We hope we can be your main source for keeping up with the hottest pet friendly places to visit, events to enjoy, and headlines happening in this pawesome city.  We also make it a point to highlight the people making in a difference with the puppies in our local pet rescue community. Today, San Diego is home to over 100 amazing dog parks (in counting), and half a dozen off leash beaches- canines certainly have the advantage living in  America’s finest city!  Even our shopping malls embrace Fido and fashion by offering complimentary cookies and water bowls out front nearly every store. And when it comes to dinning, Daygo is the city of Dogs! Yep, San Diego truly is the hotspot for canine hospitality!  There’s always a new pet friendly discovery around the corner and our goal is to introduce readers to the brands, businesses, and events that make San Diego Pet City USA!  From beaches to parks, shopping and dinning, here at Barking Beast we want you and your dog to get the most out of this wonderful city together.
