The annual Paws and Pints Fundraiser is going down Thursday night (6:30PM) and it’s expected to be a packed house at THE LOT La Jolla. This marks the fourth year in a row the La Jolla Veterinary Hospital will host the event and I couldn’t be more amazed by the group! Organized by La Jolla Veterinary Hospital Manager Stephanie Coolidge, the Paws and Pints event has become a factor in illuminating the city of La Jolla’s contributions toward San Diego animal rescue community. However long before Paws and Pints launched in 2014, Coolidge and her team had already been making sizable donations toward local animal welfare. In fact, a year before in the spring of 2013, I had the honor of meeting Coolidge and her staff when they attended the Barking Beast Runway Show! And they weren’t just any guests- they were VIP guests! Thanks to their tremendous generosity toward the Barking Beast event I was sure to sit them font and center at the show, and also had them highlighted at the top of my “Special Thanks to our valued Barking Beast Contributors” mentions which I displayed at the exit of the event.

Now four years later LJVH continues to have huge success with their own annual animal welfare benefit which has shown to be a true reflection of their compassion for animals and pet rescue in the San Diego community.

I look forward to this event for many reasons! Beyond the unique auction raffle gifts and the awesome happy hour beer selection in a shiek pet friendly happy hour ambiance, I greatly respect the Paws and Pints beneficiary groups involved. Encinitas is the town I grew up in so you can imagine my joy when I learned Encinitas’ Rancho Costal Humane Society would be an official beneficiary of the Paws and Pints event. RCHS owner and CEO Jim Silveria has been leading a revolutionary team in the rescuing of German Shepherds out of his shelters campus and his work and commitment to animals is deeply treasured. This year, an additional face will be added to the Paws and Pints beneficiary line-up, the FACE Foundation. FACE Foundation Public Relations Director, Brooke Hagerty shared, “FACE’s goal is to help provide medical and veterinary care to animals in need so we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner up with such a caring group for this exciting event”. I personally know Hagerty as she too participated in the Barking Beast Runway Show- not as a guest, but as a speaker spreading awareness about the amazing work the FACE Foundation does in the community. I cannot think of two non-profit organizations more worthy of donation support than the ever-selfless FACE Foundation, and Rancho Coastal Humane Society!

So, if you’re looking for a cool pet friendly happy hour with cool people benefiting a great cause, make your Paws and Pints RSVP today! Evening festivities include complimentary wine grab, silent suction, raffle, door prizes, a surfboard photo contest and more! The event begins at 6:30PM and the weather forecast is expected to be low to mid 60’s so bring a light jacket!

Hope to see you there, it’s going to be a BLAST! And THANK YOU Stephanie Coolidge, and the La Jolla Veterinary Hospital for putting on this awesome event!
