There’s a new pet store in town and I’m a smitten kitten over it! Point Loma Village recently welcomed its newest, perfectly styled pet boutique, Good Dog Pet Outfitters, which provides vibrant, human grade whole foods for pets. To celebrate the official opening, the local business invites animal lovers to its grand opening pawty on Saturday, January 13 and you can bet Jack and I will be there!

From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., Good Dog Pet Outfitters will transform to a pet play pawty featuring photo booth sessions to capture portraits of owners and their beloved pets, treats for four-legged friends, exclusive swag bags, raffles and grand opening discounts. A portion of sales will go to San Diego’s nonprofit organization dedicated to saving homeless pups, Second Chance Dog Rescue.

Guests are encouraged to peruse the store’s collection of health foods for pets, healing supplements for every stage of growth and development, items made from organic cotton, wool doggie duds and a bounty of pet approved toys.

“We take pride in being a boutique for your pet family,” said Theresa Renfro, owner of Good Dog Pet Outfitters. “No warehouse piled with bags of dog food and squeaky toys here. Everything in the store is of quality and carefully handpicked by a staff of people who love animals like the family member they are.”

Renfro is a resident of Sunset Cliffs and lifelong animal lover. Her house has welcomed rabbits, chickens, cats, birds, and a very loving German Shepard named Frenchie.

The pet fun doesn’t end with a sign that says “open” and a one-time only grand opening bash. The boutique plans to host a slew of events that celebrate the bond between owner and pet, furred or feathered.

“Who is ready for Doga and adoption events?” asks Renfro.
