German Shepherds for adoption in Encinitas

Coastal German Shepherd Rescue is one of San Diego’s largest and most successful non-profit organizations dedicated to saving homeless shepards on the streets and in the shelters. Once received a dog, they provide medical care, including spay and neuter, therapy and any necessary rehabilitation in hopes of nursing the breed into a adoptable condition perfect for any family or home.

German Shepherds are above all one of the smartest breeds in the world. Because of their strength, high intelligence and abilities in obedience training, the German Shepherd’s is often employed in police and military roles around the world. Due to their loyal and protective nature, the German Shepherd is one of the most registered of breeds making them the perfect companion for one or the idea family dog for any house hold.

Saturday September 29th and Sunday the 30th, the Coastal German Shepherd Rescue will be at the Encinitas Pets Mart off 1034 North El Camino Real  Encinitas, CA 92024 , 760) 436-1220. They will be featuring dozens of applicable German Shepard ( both puppy and adults ) ready for a home. So if you’re looking for a large dog breed, a German Shepherd from this organization would be the perfect fit, as their volunteers will guide you every step of the way in helping you comfortably settle in your new family member home.

If you can’t adopt, please donate to here at Coastal German Shepherd Rescue Donations San Diego. They are a non profit organization. All of their staff is full time volunteer, and could use all the financial help they can get in helping rescue and nurse these beautiful animals back to health.


  1. We adopted our baby boy from them! We actually came for a husky they had and left with a 4 month old German Shepherd who stole our hearts! Over a year later he is still the love of our lives 🙂
