If you’re on the cusp of pet lifestyle in daygo then I’m sure you’ve heard of the amazing Camp Run A Mutt facilities throughout the city.  Camp Run A Mutt is the answer for locals looking for a stay-cation escape for their furbabies when away from home. And once you hear about the Camp Run A mutt amenaties, we dare you to try and resist booking a stay for your pooch at their facilities.

Our very own Barking Beast, Jack, recently spent a afternoon at the San Marcos Camp Run A Mutt facility and absolutely loved every minute of it! Check out the pawsome cubbie are behind reception with a cubbie for each guest which holds snack lunches, toys and comfort blankets tailored to the specific needs of each dog when away from home.

Located near the up and coming metropolitan developments in downtown San Marcos, Camp Run A Mutt San Marcos boasts a exciting island ambiance unlike any other for canines, just like it’s franchise counterparts!

The 7,000 square foot indoor and outdoor play areas offer serene and spacious exercise areas featuring splash pools, sun decks, rest areas, along with dog wash, grooming, boutique, and obedience training surprises your dog will love! Check out the entire Camp Run A Mutt San Marcos facility indoor, outdoor, and lobby tour with the awesome 360 degree camera on their site here!

What also makes this facility so convenient is whether you look to book daycare for a couple hours or for a standard afternoon every furry guest is free to be dropped off and picked up anytime of the day during regular business hours.  I think my top favorite feature about Camp Run A Mutt San Marcos is the facility is equipped with online web cameras set up inside play area’s so you can check up on your pet any time during their stay with the available online web app.

Besides all the amazing camp features, the facility staff really makes the stay a special experience. CRAM San Marcos is owned by Lloyd and Sabrina Reid who are very hands on owners and dedicated to the care and happiness of each guest who walks through their doors. These two caring, dog-centric people have participated in years of dog training classes, including basic and advanced obedience, as well as agility, rally and nose work for enjoyment purposes.

Sabrina has been a registered nurse for 17 years, and also works in the field of substance abuse. Her real passion is their dogs, and the dogs of every other person she encounters.  She is so devoted to her dogs, her family’s dogs and her neighbor’s dogs, that she thought it would be a good idea to open a dog camp!  Lloyd, is retired and has decades of supervisory experience with training and instruction that translates to his relationships with dogs.  Lucky for the Camp Run-A-Mutt San Marcos staff, he shares his talents with them so that they can deliver the highest quality service to the customers and their dogs.  Lloyd is also a certified Pet Tech Instructor and will provide the staff members with the all-important first-aid and CPR training should any of the pet guests need emergency care on-site.  To the Reid’s, the venture was really all about the dogs, so you are sure to meet the real motivation behind the Camp upon arrival the Reid family dogs;  Betty, a 5-year old Terrier/Dachshund mix, Walter a 4-year old charcoal Lab, and the newest addition to their family, Lois, the English Mastiff (size aside) puppy.

From the minute your dog steps paw in Camp Run A Mutt San Marcos, the love and enthusiasm for animals is very clear as it is infectious. It’s comforting to know wether you’re boarding for the afternoon or over night, your dog is in the hands of people who will care for them the same way you do at home. Overnight boarders actually get to sleep on the couches with a overnight employee because there’s someone on site with the dogs 24 hours a day during their stay.  As it reads on the Camp Run A Mutt San Marco’  “ Their goal at Camp Run A Mutt San Macros is to ensure the safety of the dogs in their care while minimizing the stress and anxiety some dog experience when away from home and their owners” and from personal experience I can honestly say they really do follow through with that statement, one hundred paw-cent!
